3D printing has already shaken up the world of design. Yet, chances are you haven't had many chances to experiment with the 3-D–printing craze. This might just change if you happen to be in Paris, where you can get a figurine made of yourself in the time it takes to do your shopping.
Le Studio pop-up in Paris, is pairing the tech innovation with another big trend: the selfie. The pop-up, which runs through December 1 at the Le Marais, Rue Du Temple, lets you have a miniature, three-dimensional version of yourself created.
Here's how it works: Step onto a spinning disc for a full-body scan (pictured) in any pose your heart desires, and you'll be a given a link where you can select the size and material of your mini-me figurine. Prices start at about 30 euros for a high-res, three-inch plastic model, and you'll receive it in the mail two weeks after you order it.
I have a feeling Instagram is about to receive the perfect 3D “Selfie.”
