In today's age of information overload Kinfolk Magazine is taking it back to simpler times.
The magazine, created by Nathan Williams, focuses on lifestyle and the art of entertaining and is now also spreading their hippy "foody" kinfolk culture into other countries by organizing events that connect readers and contributors from all over the world.
These Kinfolk dinners bring communities together, by infusing each gathering with local artisans and small businesses. Last Saturday they held their “Wabi Sabi” themed dinner at the Hutspot concept store in Amsterdam.
Wabi-sabi, Japanese for finding beauty in imperfection, asymmetry and simplicity, centred around this concept and invited us to enjoy “a messy meal” in each other’s company.
