I’m pretty sure that the people who will be visiting the Milan design week (April 9th to 14th 2013) in Tortona, Brera, Lambrate and Porta Venezia, will find many well dressed dapperman, tuxedos, kilts and ladies wearing elegant evening dresses whilst passing you by on a Cykno bike.
The name Cykno comes from the Greek word κύκνος (kýknos) and from the Latin word Cygnus, both meaning swan, and from what I see, this bike definitely has the power to ''transform'' you into the most stylish biker around.
Designed as a collaboration project between Bruno Greppi alongside designers Luca Scopel, Gianpietro Vigorelli and Italian advertising genius Riccardo Lorenzini, this thing is just as much a work of art as it is a means of transportation.
This new generation electric bicycle sports the vintage look combined with innovation, great materials and sophisticated technology.
Carbon fiber and fine leather are used liberally in this design, while classy bits of character are added in the unusual seat design, old-world headlight and big wheels. Inside the frame, a 250 watt or 500 watt battery provides 60km of pedal-assist cruising on a single charge. Also, it can recharge within 4 hours on a standard plug, ready to ride again after a day of work.
Sounds like a hell of a ride, take a look!
