Swedish company AF Bostäder designed an pretty cool alternative to the multi-unit dormitory houses, and for just a few hundred dollars per month, renting this place definitely wont buy you a lot of space, but it does give you a cozy, dynamic and well-designed student house.

The small cottage has got all the essential basics that a young scholar may need. The place includes a kitchen complete with dining area, a shower, bathroom and a sleeping loft. The study desk is conveniently located below the sleeping area and there’s even an outside plot for a bit of gardening. Right now the company is petitioning authorities to expand and create more free-standing student houses like this one. And the existing sample cottage is a subject of a steady competition among students for the right to live there.
