NEW YORK: THE UNRELEASED PICTURES

New York City’s Department of Records has announced the public release of almost one million images of the city and its municipal operations. Gathered from the Municipal Archives of more than 2.2 million images (dating as far back as the late 1800′s), the photographs feature daily construction in New York to graphic gangland violence.
