Locked away in Regensburg, Germany for 150 years, lay 500 untold fairytales. Local historian, Franz Xaver von Schönwerth, collected myths, legends, and fairytales in the Bavarian region of Oberpfalz during the same time of the Grimm Brothers, according to the Guardian. Erika Eichenseer, Oberpfalz cultural curator, published a selection of the fairytales in a book called Prinz Roßzwifl last year. Here is one of the newly discovered stories to enjoy: The Turnip Princess.
