Because of the many crisis impinging on our times, new ideas and perspectives have become a critical necessity. Our actions have taken us to many breaking points and they all coincide on the same directrix: “the extinction of most life and resources on this planet.” Awaiting to act simultaneously from all walks of life, from a place of wisdom and empathy, people are rising up to higher understanding, bonding together into small cells of imaginal thought. The increasing awake individuals, will form a critical mass that can aggregate. These groups will catalyze the population, igniting new possibilities, new ideas into existence. Bearing fruits our relationships will reach profound transformations, for the changes to come are so dramatic that a new way of perceiving reality will emerge. In a sense we are collectively metamorphosing in this process into an entirely new sentient life.
In the biological processes of nature, it is not uncommon to see radical changes. Amphibians, mollusks, crustaceans, insects, echinoderms are all sensitive to abrupt changes in cell growth and differentiation. These changes lead to modifications in behavior, habitat and body structure. These process are generally referred to as metamorphosis and they usually happen out of sudden spurts of transformation. A very good example of this phenomena is that of the caterpillar. This unpleasant looking crawler undergoes a magnificent transformation that gives birth to a graceful flying dancing flower smelling beautiful creature. When the caterpillar reaches maturity, it begins to devour ravenously, bloating and over eating many times its size. This impulse to over consume reminds us of how Western societies engage in obsessive consumption, generating in the process a huge unbalance in global society and the natural ecosystems. This behavior seems flip sided to any true intelligence. Or is it like the body of the caterpillar that becomes a heavy glob of “goop” hanging upside down to form a cocoon. Oozing inside, the rotting puss cue cells that have been dormant, and they begin to vibrate at a new frequency. Out of nowhere suddenly, the surface of the cocoon hardens enclosing the chrysalis; tiny cells called “imaginal cells” begin to appear. At first the caterpillars immune system detects these imaginal cells and reacts to them as enemies. Launching an attack, much like mainstream society annihilates new ideas in science, art and politics. Much like the closed societies of the cold war restricted and criminalized free thinkers. Recognizing each other, these imaginal cells begin to bond and form larger structures forming clumps that resonate all together. Strengthened and able to survive the onslaught of the immune system, the imaginal cells aggregate. Gallieo’s discoveries resisted the collapsing cultural values around him and his ideas prevailed. As an emerging transformation, clusters of like-minded imaginal cells on the brink of becoming, like islands of joy and sanity, agents in the dawn of a new form, reach the critical threshold. The caterpillar’s immune system is then overwhelmed and can no longer hold a fight. Imaginal disks structure along new organizational lines and metamorpihize. The chrysalis becomes transparent, like open and free flowing informational networks, not a moment to soon ripe with meaning and direction, like a new mythic reality emerging from the crumbling foundations. The nutritious soup of ooze becomes fat that will feed the glorious butterfly. Right side up, new formed wings exquisite in graze and potential tear open the rigid skin of the encasing, breaking away free in flight. Announcing the dawning of a new age, new ideas transcend, they resonate in coherence. The transformation of ideas is an evolutionary force that behaves much like the imaginal cells of the cocoon. There is good news for all of us who hold on to a different perspective on how life on Earth can be. As a collective we lie asleep in the dawn of these great changes. But we can all begin to make small differences, you are part of the unified field, from the divine source, the ground of all being, your thoughts affect all the people around you. Awaiting critical numbers, the thoughts of love and unity, will lead us to harmony and paradise on Earth. Where the butterfly of humanity is no longer stuck in the chrysalis of stupidity, but free to imagine how to formidably thrive in the garden of light.
