A major international event in Amsterdam will show design not as an aesthetic thing, but as a mindset for addressing social issues.
What Design Can Do is an initiative from within the Dutch design world and aims to provide an inspiring platform for an international movement. A movement consisting of designers, architects, fashion designers and social designers; who work on solutions regarding shape, strategy or production methods on a daily basis from within their respective professions. The crème de la crème of the national and international design world will come together in Amsterdam to show the other side of design.
What Design Can Do will also include workshops to encourage designers from across the globe to present their best ideas, draft solutions and exchange strategies. Everything will be compiled in a Book of Great Ideas and Solutions that will be put together live and presented at the end of the two-day event.
