Nicely furnished with vintage lamps and furniture, lots of wood, a fireplace and outdoor iconography, the Basecamp Hotel in South Lake Tahoe absolutely looks warm and inviting. It also looks pretty hipster and instagram worthy if you do follow the hashtag #campvibes.

Founded in April 2011, Basecamp was founded upon the principle of building an affordable and stylish hotel which embodies the spirit of exploration. A hotel which emotes the feeling of a base camp or log cabin, where travelers, explorers come together before embarking on their own adventures. With the help of designer Elaine Cotter, founder Christian Strobel turned this vision into a reality. Photographs by Eva Kolenko.
