Just months after Starbucks opened their largest concept store of Europe in Amsterdam, the company now opened its very first fresh juice store called “Evolution Fresh,” in Bellevue, Washington just outside of Seattle. The store will include the Evolution Fresh juice line, which Starbucks acquired for $30 million in cash in November in order to sell a wider variety of products.
The juice bar will sell fruit and vegetable juices, both fresh and bottled, along with smoothies, wraps, salads and soups, all while offering vegan and vegetarian options. Evolution Fresh provides organic juices made from the freshest fruits and vegetables. To preserve nutrients, they use a heat-free, high-pressure pasteurization process compared to the ordinary process.
Ever since Starbucks bought Evolution Fresh, it has distributed the product to several retailers including Whole Foods. Starbucks’ company owned-stores will also sell the juices.
